I've been in building maintenance for many years and worked for an HVAC contractor for several. As a result, I approach safety "from the inside." I've seen first hand what can happen when safety is neglected or ignored.
I've been involved with safety as a part of my career in building maintenance since the late 80s. I participated in several in-house OSHA classes and was sent to boiler and electrical safety seminars.Since that time, I've been on safety committees, was a union safety rep, and was responsible for training employees in Fire Safety, Lockout/Tagout/ Electrical Safety, Hazard Communications and OSHA procedures.Recently, I decided to partner with an associate to start my own safety company. We are both authorized OSHA Outreach trainers.
