Mr. Olton is an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional with expertise in organizational strategic planning, EHS auditing, training, program design, risk assessment, and project management.
As a certified EHS professional, Mr. Olton has overseen many high impact projects. These include the development of long term EHS strategic initiatives, executive level data analytics of key performance indicators, and organizational efforts to implement EHS management systems, and technical guidance for occupational safety and health in wastewater treatment operations. Mr. Olton is considered a highly experienced EHS advisor for executive level decision making. His years of extensive work experience include EHS audits of multi-billion-dollar construction activities of utility operations, including wastewater operations, office spaces and laboratories. He has achieved more than a decade of experience at a senior management level executing occupational safety and health initiatives for a large utility operation in New York City.He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) in the areas of Management Systems, Environmental Compliance, as well as Health and Safety. Mr. Olton holds a master’s degree in public health, with specialization in Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety from Hunter College. Additional credentials include, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. He is also distinguished as a USA OSHA authorized outreach trainer for both Construction and General Industry standards. his strong EHS expertise, David was selected by the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) to present on Synergistic Safety Auditing: Corporate and Division Alignment at the June 2019 ASSP global conference in New Orleans, USA. He has been featured in the 2019/2020 INVEST GUYANA publication, on the topic Standards Integration-A Path to Growth, Competitiveness and Survival.
